Creative Team
We are a group of four film school friends (two producers, a director and an actress) who came together twelve years after graduation to make this film, and our dreams, a reality. We cannot believe we managed to pull off such a feat - complete with a live bear, impressive ensemble cast, helicopters, remote locations, managing childcare for our young kids, and then the SAG/AFTRA strike (we got our waiver just days before principal photography was scheduled to begin last August!).
Burke Doeren
Director
Burke Doeren is a Film Director, Producer, and Cinematographer based in Los Angeles. After attending Chapman University, Burke has worked on a wide variety of commercials, branded content, and television series including Hyperdrive (2019-2019), BattleBots (2018-2023), and the upcoming thriller feature film, Crossword. He is also a co-owner of 22 Waves Creative, a digital production company, and his Directorial debut will be the upcoming feature film, Grizzly Night.
Tyson Call
Executive Producer
Tyson Call, who grew up making home movies on his parents' camcorder, graduated from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in Southern California. Shortly after, on the drive home to Utah to take care of a parent who had been badly injured on their Harley-Davidson, he received a call for an interview with a Park City production company. Almost immediately, Tyson was again a Utah resident, developing, selling, and then behind the camera filming the reality television show, “Bitchin’ Rides,” among the most-viewed TV shows on Discovery Channel’s MotorTrend Network.
More than a decade later, he’s still filming the popular show, along with several seasons of “BattleBots,” Netflix's "Hyperdrive," and other TV and digital media projects. He also established and later sold a successful drone photography business called Full Collective Media, then developed Cutthroat Studios, a rental house and shooting space for film, commercials, music videos, and interviews, located just 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.
Most recently, he came together with three film school friends and long-time colleagues to produce the upcoming docudrama feature film, Grizzly Night, which completed production in September 2023 after receiving a coveted SAG waiver to film during the actors' strike. Tyson is passionate about bringing exciting projects to the extensive and impressive film community in and around Salt Lake City.
Lauren Call
Actor/Producer
Lauren is a fourth generation Californian, born and raised in Costa Mesa. She began acting at age six and has performed in local, regional, and professional theater throughout the state. She attended Orange County School of the Arts in the Music and Theater department from 7th to 12th grade where she was recognized as Best Actress in scene-work in her graduating class. She then received her BFA in Screen Acting from Chapman University.
She has found herself in front of and behind the camera ever since. Lauren has spent the last six years raising her small children and starting her own business, popping onto sets as often as possible. Working on Grizzly Night has been a dream come true - especially surrounded by so many friends, and so many insanely talented members of Utah's film community.

Kellie Doeren
Producer
A Bay Area native, Kellie attended Chapman University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Television and Broadcast Journalism. Though she originally had a goal to be in front of the camera as a host, she found a bigger passion in producing. Kellie was drawn to creative development and producing after working at Discovery Studios. Her path took her to work in Development and Casting on a variety of unscripted TV shows for Discovery, Animal Planet, A&E and the Oprah Winfrey Network. She also worked in Print and Commercial casting for brands such as Toyota, Chase Bank, Honda, and Bentley.
As advertising began to shift from broadcast to digital, Kellie and her partner Burke saw an opening and founded 22 Waves Creative. Since the start of the company, they have produced digital campaigns for brands such as Google, Porsche, Genesis, Dwell Magazine, UberEats and YouTube Kids.
Producing commercials created an itch for expansive storytelling for 30-60seconds just wasn’t enough. In 2022, the script for an indie feature started the new path of feature filmmaking. That script was “Grizzly Night” which will be premiering in the near future.
She and Burke have one son, Maxwell, who was born in 2022 and is already drawn to cameras and cars like his dad.
